How this site treats your information

This page covers thecannabisbusinessbroker.com. The firm is HedgeStone Business Advisors. The broker is Jason Taken. Educational copy on this site is not legal, tax, or valuation advice.

Federal and state law current as of September 2026 — verify with counsel.

Who we are

HedgeStone Business Advisors operates this intake site for confidential cannabis business brokerage conversations. Email is jason.taken@hedgestone.com. No phone number or street address is published here. Jason Taken is a business broker, not an attorney and not a licensed cannabis operator.

What we collect

If you email us, we receive whatever you send: name, address, license class, and any documents you attach. If you book the intro call, the calendar is embedded from OneCal. OneCal processes the booking, including your name, email, and any notes you type into that form. We do not run a contact form, popup, or newsletter signup on this site.

What we do not collect on the page itself

This static site does not set a first-party analytics cookie and does not run an on-site CRM pixel. Your browser still loads Google Fonts and the OneCal embed. Those vendors may set their own cookies or receive your IP address. Read their policies before you book.

How we use a booking or an email

We use it to decide whether a confidential conversation makes sense and to schedule that conversation. We do not sell inquiry lists. We do not publish your license number, store name, or address on this website. If a matter needs counsel or a CPA, we will say so instead of pretending the website is advice.

How long we keep it

Booking records live in the calendar tool for as long as that vendor retains them. Email we keep as long as the conversation is active, then as long as we reasonably need it for a later engagement or a legal hold. Ask jason.taken@hedgestone.com if you want a copy or a deletion request.

Educational disclaimer

Articles, calculators, state pages, and FAQs are educational. They are not a solicitor advertisement in every jurisdiction, not a guarantee of price, timing, approval, or financing, and not a substitute for cannabis-specialized counsel or a 280E-literate CPA. Transfer rules, local authorization, and tax treatment change. Verify the file in front of you before you act.

Engagement states

Business-opportunity brokerage is treated as real-estate activity in some states. Industry 2026 guides commonly list Arizona, California, Florida, Michigan, and South Dakota as express-coverage states; Illinois uses a Business Brokers Act registration. Confirm the engagement form before a listing agreement is signed. This page does not create a client relationship.
